Your Yacht Charter in Scotland
Make Sailaway Scotland your first choice for quality yacht charter. Our fleet of 8 yachts is based mainly on the Clyde at Largs Yacht Haven on the beautiful west coast of Scotland. Our sailing areas, wildlife and scenery are all breathtaking!
Five of our yachts are charter coded for crews of up to 10 - we offer the widest choice of larger charter yachts in Scotland. Three of these larger yachts are fitted with bow thrusters to ease close quarters berthing; and all five of them have in mast furling for easier and safer sailing.
Charters to and from Oban and Crinan are sometimes available.
Enjoy easy access to our beautiful, unspoilt, uncrowded cruising grounds – Largs is only 35 minutes by taxi from Glasgow and Prestwick airports. We will be happy to help arrange transport for you to and from airport.
The Firth of Clyde with its own islands and sea lochs, has many pretty harbours and quiet sheltered anchorages, with visitors moorings, hotels and restaurants ashore, secluded beaches, and opportunities for walking and climbing. For the more adventurous there is easy access to the Argyll Islands and the Irish coast, whether through the wonderful Crinan Canal or around the fabled Mull of Kintyre.
We like to think - and our customers tell us - that Sailaway offers a service which makes us stand out, not just in our professionalism and helpfulness, but in the care we take in maintaining and presenting our yachts. Here's a quote from one happy 2016 season customer:
"We wanted to write to say how impressed we are with the service we received from your company through the whole process of the Charter.
From the moment of booking the boat where you showed flexibility on dates from your brochure to paying deposits and fees to the relaxed but very professional hand over, the clean and well set up boat, the hand back were all a cut above the normal Charter company. We have been chartering for 25 years plus in many different places and we all agreed this is the best area with the best boats . It just a shame it has taken 25 years to discover it, where else can you go with 25 plus knots of wind sailing at 9 knots with the sea state being slight with beautiful scenery and lots of harbours with wifi. We will be booking next year." (... and they have!)
