Deep Blue is new to Sailaway for the 2020 season having been sailed up to Largs by her new owners from the Thames, via the Channel and Irish Sea.

That 800 mile trip showed what a capable boat she is. With all control lines coming aft to the electric winches in the large cockpit, she is easy and safe to sail as well as being fun and fast in a breeze.

She is easy to handle in the marina with her powerful bowthruster, although we hope you’ll take the opportunity to try out some of the excellent local anchorages as well – made easy with her electric windlass.

Although Deep Blue is new to the Clyde cruising area she will feel right at home alongside her sister Sailaway 46 footer, Calico Moon. If you are a large group or a corporate charter, these boats might be just what you are looking for.

The Bavaria 46 Cruiser’s well designed layout lends itself to convivial evenings in the saloon or in the large cockpit. Helpfully, Deep Blue’s bimini cockpit cover is easy to erect quickly, providing cover from sun if it’s too hot (and rain if it’s too wet !)

Deep Blue has a well equipped and spacious galley area with two fridges, gas cooker and ample storage space adjacent to the saloon for both liquid and solid stores.

Accommodation wise she has four generously sized sleeping cabins – two large double cabins aft, a very large double cabin forward and a decently sized twin bunk cabin to port. Four of these berths convert to sea-going bunks should the need arise.

The saloon table can be lowered to create a further double bed if required.

Webasto ducted warm air heating means she is cosy any time of the year at the flick of a switch. All this is complemented by two generously sized heads/shower compartments and a good sized chart table.

Deep Blue carries all the required navigational aids – chart plotter, DSC VHF, wind and depth instruments, autopilot and also 2 way AIS.

Above decks, she has electric windlass, bowthruster, furling headsail and  furling mainsail, electric primary winches in the cockpit.

Deep Blue is a comfortable, spacious boat and a joy to sail!
